I am an artist working in multiple disciplines including photography, video, and painting. I was born in Houston, TX and am currently completing a BFA degree at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I've exhibited in group shows at the Flight Gallery, The Upstairs Gallery at Brick, and have participated in a print/trade portfolio exhibited at the Rojo Gallery. Prior to my time at UTSA I attended the Southwest School of Art where I founded the SSA Photography Club and was awarded the Jim and Lucia Havelin Writing Award with publication in Artist Proof Magazine. I have worked as a studio assistant to the Guggenheim Fellowship awardee, photographer and experimental filmmaker Bill Daniel.
My work explores women’s issues such as women’s bodily autonomy and the male gaze. Through the different media I work in I creates a personal mythology, weaving together symbols borrowed from esotericism, urban folklore, and my own life.
